When going through my favorite retro-remixing site RKO I found yet another gem for my collection which I think you all should check out. SiLeX has remixed the sound of “International Karate” and put into a nice housy arranged track. If you’re into basedrums and a chilly house feeling you should definitely give this one a go.
It starts a bit odd but then gets a lot better. So crank up the volume, close your eyes – and dance!

Today my trusty Thomson Lyra PDP-2448 stopped working. It shut down every few minutes or displayed strange thai-like graphics on its dot-matrix display, so I figured I needed a new one. I just can not live without music in my ears. Went to the nearest electronics store and after some playing with these lovely toys I decided for the Creative Zen Nano Plus.
So far I’m happy. That thing is *a lot* smaller, packs more mp3s, has a much better sound and generally looks slicker. I’m a happy man today. Hope the feeling stays a while.
Few Weeks ago friends of mine had their examination in C and I just came across a post from my buddy Cleansy who recommends StartUp C++ from Databecker. I totally agree with him. This Book has helped me thousands of times, and it’s quite good in what it tries to be: a StartUp help.
I’ve seen better Books, like the one from Kernighan & Ritchie but StartUp C++ certainly helped me getting a kickstart into the object orientation that C++ is. It’s a pity it ain’t available through Amazon anymore. You can actually get any book, just be sure it’s not one from the “… for Dummies” series.
Oh and while we’re with the books: If you want to start PHP – I’ve learned it with this book, also from DataBecker.
