Ostalgie ist nicht mein Ding. Manchem erscheint die DDR in rückblickender Verklärung als ein Hort sozialer Sicherheit. Tatsächlich ist die DDR nicht zuletzt daran zugrunde gegangen, dass sie infolge wirtschaftlicher Ineffizienz ihre sozialen Verheißungen nicht finanzieren konnte.

Das ist wahrscheinlich schon Asbach für alle dies kennen. Ich habs neulich auf Tide laufen sehen und war begeistert. Der Song hat unglaubliche Ohrwurmqualitäten. Anhören & liebhaben!

Meltdown

There’s this one particular line in Ice Age: The Meltdown, that every so often comes to my mind and makes me smile. I don’t know why I remember it right now, sitting at work and coding my ass off, but I thought I should share it. So here goes:

Manfred: So, still think she’s the girl for me?
Sid: Sure. She’s tons of fun, and you’re no fun at all. She completes you.

Liked that line in the trailer a lot. :)

Ein todsicherer Job

Gestern Abend Christopher Moores “Ein todsicherer Job” ausgelesen. Das Ende war irgendwie völlig anders als erwartet. Traurig. Irgendwie. Aber wenn das Buch tatsächlich verfilmt wird, dann dürfte das alles bisher dagewesene in den rabenschwarzen Schatten stellen. :) Ich freu mich drauf.

Die beiden letzten weil Sie großartige Regieleistungen sind und die Geschichten sehr bewegt darstellen. Und weil die Helden am Ende sterben. Den ersten Film wegen Simon Pegg. Ich muss leider sagen, ich hab mir mehr versprochen. Simon Pegg glänzt zwar, und der Film hat auch seine Momente, aber es ist eben keine Frost/Pegg-Produktion. Trotzdem überlege ich das Buch zu kaufen. Irgendwann.
